In 2005 I introduced the VIIIFS, and VIII the precursor to the XFS and XS. I was so excited about these bikes in 2005. However I dreamt of making them better. I wanted ISIS bottom bracket, integrated headset, completely adjustable stem, disc hubs, aluminum pedals, cold forged cranks, trigger shifters with more speeds, interfaces for water bottles, pumps, and bag systems, machined sidewall rims, double wall rims, stainless steel spokes, and taller frame.

It is now 2021 and I have achieved my dream. The XFS & XS are exactly the bikes I wanted in 2005. I am so overjoyed with the progress over the years. The current bikes are much better than anything I envisioned. Hopefully, progress will continue into the future.
