Seattle a great cycling town
Our family decided to take a cycling trip to Seattle. It was great an horrible. On the way into town we were amazed at how nice ( and rich ) the city looked. However we then saw a huge tent encampment for homeless people. It doesn't make sense to have so much excess, with no much need right next to each other.
Otherwise the city was awesome with cycling lanes ( makes it safe for kids )....they even had some cyclist themed traffic lights ( just like in Amsterdam ). The fish market was the steepest hill ever, however the rest of downtown was relatively smooth. Restaurants are all over, and the buildings are all new and high end. Our hotel, called Theodore, was downtown and it is amazing, everything was high end.
In addition to an amazing downtown, Seattle has a beach on the south west side. The water is chilly in the summer ( but not too cold ). The energy is peaceful, and everyone is happy.
Go check it out, and have a good time.
