Step 1: Remove the crank bolt by turning counterclockwise until it comes out ( as mentioned in crank bolt removal instructions )
Step 2: Thread the crank puller into the crank by hand, making sure not to strip the threads.
Step 3: Then turn the crank puller clockwise with a wrench (or by hand) until the crank can be easily removed.
Step 4: Remove the crank.
