ADJUSTING QUICK RELEASES
Step 1: Open and close all quick releases on the bike. You should feel resistance on the lever half way through swing from open to fully closed. If it is too tight or too loose, it must be adjusted.
Step 2: Use a 10 mm wrench to hold the nut in the back of the frame quick release. Then turn the quick release clockwise if it was too loose or counter-clockwise if it was too tight, and repeat your test in Step #1 until it is just right.
Step 3: Wheel quick releases are the easiest to adjust. If it is too tight, hold the quick release lever with one hand, while with the other turn the other end on the axle counter-clockwise; if it is too loose, turn clockwise.
