Disc brakes are they better for folding bikes

Disc brakes are awesome, they stop bicycles on a dime in rain, snow, sleet. However are they better for folding bikes???
I think rim brakes are much better for most users of folding bikes. Disc brakes have thin rotors that are easily bent, once bent the resistance is audible....squeak squeak squeak. Traveling with a folding bike in a suitcase would require one to remove the rotors which is a hassle. Therefore I think rim brakes are much better for the majority of the population.
Disc brakes are better for some riders. Riders that live on top of a mountain need discs. Rim brakes will melt by the time they reach the bottom, whereas disc brakes dissipate heat much better. They will stay cool all the way down the mountain. Allowing for a safe descent.
The majority of our bikes are disc ready. We believe riders should have the option to go to discs without spending a fortune replacing wheels and forks However try the rim brakes. They work great and minimize risk of resistance from bent rotors.
