Riders are always using the brakes. Hence brake levers are used more than most parts on a bicycle. Quslity levers make riding more enjoyable. So what makes a quality brake lever?

1. Quality brakes have solid motion at the lever. Low end ones have play in the vertical direction. Make sure your brakes have minimal play, it will make your rides more enjoyable.

2. Two finger levers. Most brake levers are advertised as two-finger levers. This means you can pull back on the edge of the lever...essentially most of these are one finger levers.
