I have created quite a ruckus about stepping away from Downtube. I have thought long and hard, gone back and forth many times. I have decided to gift the business to my son "Apik" once he is old enough. I will continue to run things, until he is ready.  All my kids are fabulous, I am unable to surmise how I love all three. However, "Apik" has the attributes that can help Downtube the most. He is selfless, honest, always looking for the greater good of others, and unwilling to give up....even in the face of major adversity, and long odds. 

I am happy to gift him the business. I hope he will honor my goal of bringing high quality bicycles to the masses at a cost effective price. He is still a minor, hence I will run it until he is ready. I expect he will take over in 2-4 years. I hope he runs it as a side business, so he can play chess & study math and physics. However his future will be up to him, no one else.
