As I wrote in the price fixing posts, your local bike shop wants to manipulate prices to take more of your hard earned money. 

Need a bike? What should you do??? Schwinn bikes at Walmart are a great value, buy one and get a mobile mechanic to set it up professionally. Walmart has proven they are unable to set bikes up properly...so a mobile tech is necessary. 

This change in buyers behavior will squeeze bike shops further. Hopefully they will try to compete for your hard earned money.... instead of rigging the system.
