Big wheel bikes are great riding off-road, however they can not handle sharp turns. Smaller wheels provide less resistance on turns....allowing the rider to turn sharper and faster. Travelling at a low speeds minimizes resistance further, hence 16" wheels at low speed can almost make a 90 degree turn. I do not believe a 90 degree turn is theoretically possible, however I have been close, very close. It's fun try it!
