Winter Cycling: The best glove styles

Winter gloves deserve their own page! Fingers are the first part of your body to freeze. Full finger gloves work fine in the winter until the temperatures get below freezing.
In the super cold temps each of your fingers freeze because they are isolated from the other fingers. Therefore fingers will stay warmer for longer by grouping the fingers together. Lobster style gloves are very popular among cyclists, but mitten style are also excellent ( index finger sometimes on its own for shifting ).
I normally use a double layer of gloves a thin glove underneath a thicker one. Please make sure to get a glove with a solid moisture barrier, since your hands will freeze quickly once they are wet. Recently some companies introduced a glove barrier that attaches to the handlebars, I love the idea in super cold temps, however it must be a hassle having a glove attached to ones bike all the time. I assume they would be like to to snag on objects constantly.
